My First Banana Bread (recipe)

Banana Bread Recipe Baking Banana Bread

My husband claims to have never tried banana bread before, so on a rainy Halloween I baked my first one for him to try. I love banana bread and always wanted to bake it, but was never able to keep bananas around long enough to mature perfectly. There are a million recipes out there, so I tried a pretty basic one. It didn’t call for walnuts, which was weird. Mine had to—he’s nuts for walnuts!

Easy and so yummy. Nicco loved it, but brought up a good question, ‘when do you eat it?’ So guys, what’s your favorite way to eat it and what time of day?

I live in Florence with my Florentine husband... how original, I know! Exploring, eating and drinking keep me busy and happy. My winters are filled with snow and my summers are filled with hiking. LIKE what you read? Great, head over to your right and subscribe!

Great pictures – Nice manicure! I like it for breakfast and for snacking during the day. Not with dinner or after dinner. Omg. Must try the recipe. But knowing me I will probably cheat and buy Bisquick at Castroni (….and tell Francesco I made it from scratch :)
    I love your blog!

Agreed! I noticed that I don’t eat it past lunch hour, but I snack on it a lot up until then!

Thanks for the kudos & ditto. FYI, I’m a control freak and only do my own manicures. I have sat down for a million manis and no one ever seems to make me happy. I should open shop I guess.
